Patkau Architects were invited to partake in an exhibition entitled "Fabrications", occurring simultaneously at the MOMA, SFMOMA and the Wexner Center for the Arts. We were commissioned to fabricate, deliver and install the small building at the Wexner in Columbus, Ohio. The 'maison' was an exploration in tectonics and, at the time, fairly novel ideas about sustainability, manifested in solar panels, rainwater collection, and an alternative toilet.
Build - materials: hemlock, hemlock plywood, steel, glass, composting toilet.
