This family residence, located on the edge of a wooded ravine, is comprised of three volumes, loosely based on the archetypes of tent, cabin and cave. The volumes are clad in stained cedar, zinc and slate. A helical stair, made of natural and fumed white oak, connects the four levels. The living room and fireplace are the fulcrum around which most activities in the house and site take place.
